Zync Z-999 plus is a budget tablet with calling facility. The tablet is considered to be a very good attempt by the company.
Zync Z-999Plus runs on Andriod 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Though Google has further updated Ice Cream Sanwich OS but there is no word from the company if Zync Z-999 plus will receive Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update in near future. The tablet is powered by 1.5 GHz processor based on ARM Cortex A8 architecture coupled with Mali 400 GPU and 512 MB RAM.
The tablet has a 7 inch capacitive multitouch display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution. Regarding camera there is a front facing 0.3MP camera and a rear facing 2MP camera without flash. The tablet also has a 8GB internal flash memory which is expandable up to 32GB with a microSD card.
The tablet has been promoted for its in build 3G connectivity. It is also looked upon as a key feature of the tablet which free us from the need of dongle. Zync Z990 has a SIM slot which can be used both for 3G voice calling and data connectivity.
Apart from 3G it also has Wi-Fi, bluetooth, HDMI port, 3.5 mm audio jack and microphone. It has Muli-format (MP4/MPEG/ MP3/WAV/WMA ) media player, Document editor, Image editor, Flash support and comes with 4200 mAh battery. The battery power is massive for in the low cost tablet segment.
Talking about the looks of the phone than it is yet another simple looking tablet, though the quality of the plastic used it much better than Z-990. It weighs around 340 gms so not exactly light weight but then we can’t call it bulky as well.
